Fast and Durable

I highly recommend this tire for its low weight and durability. My Alpine digital scale. which is known in the cycling industry for being highly accurate. puts this 26 x 1" folding tire at +/- 5gr from the stated weight. The low weight of these tires enable them to spin quickly back up to speed after stop signs and red lights. as well as providing secure cornering capabilities. I have been using this tire for years after switching from the Ritchey 26 x 1" Tom Slick Pro (254g). and I love them because it has held up so well and given me no problems with flats. In fact. I honestly don't recall flatting in the 2K+ miles I have ridden on them. I will qualify that by saying that while I am an aggressive rider. I am also a careful rider- I do not ride on sidewalks where there can. and are. Goat head thorns (Tribulus terrestris). and I ride around glass and sharp debris on the road. as well as avoiding gravel. These provide good grip and a comfortable ride at 80 psi; I have run them at 90 psi but found the marginal gain in decreased rolling resistance was not worth pain of getting beat up. Ride safe. Ride smart. Ride fast.
