The Garmin Edge 1040 Solar bike GPS will allow you to ride longer without worrying about battery life. Its solar glass extends battery life by up to 42 minutes per hour in power-saving mode (20 minutes per hour with the display on continuously). In total, it offers up to 45 hours of battery life with the display on all the time and up to 100 hours in power saving mode.

Coupled with cadence, power and heart rate sensors, it will allow you to view information about your stamina, including your remaining energy level. Recommended power targets help you manage your efforts along the way.
