Description
The FORCE® eTap AXS™ rear derailleur is the masterpiece of your AXS™ drivetrain.
It's where all the impulses converge because all the connected components of the AXS™ system communicate with each other through the derailleur. But it not only controls the interaction of the various AXS™ components, it also communicates via Bluetooth Smart and ANT with the SRAM AXS™ app and many compatible bike computers.
The short clevis rear derailleur (max. 33 d) is compatible with single and dual chainring drivetrains. Only the maximum sprocket of the 12-speed cassette stands out.
Here, the SRAM Orbit™ technology is worth mentioning. To control the movements of the rear derailleur, a specific silicone fluid is used in a very light damping system. Compared to usual friction connection systems, this technology does not exert any additional resistance to the rear derailleur spring. This results in a more precise and faster gear change. At the same time, the liquid shock absorber tensions the chain well so that it cannot derail on bumpy terrain either.
