The silver cranks that I own were manufactured in 1998. While they are beautiful. they have too much wobble. I have had two different set of rings installed. The wobble remains. Also. the right crank chainline is too far out. No such trouble with my Speedlight black cranks manufactured in 1999.
light, pretty, no wobble

Used in combination with a 103mm SBB.A. bottom bracket and a Shimano 600 ultegra 8 speed drive train.my chain line improved as well as improved shifting. This combination saved about 60 grams. and the finish is attractive. I purchased a model year 2000 on closeout for about half the advertised price and it seems to be a good value if it proves to be durable.

I bought the Speedlight cranks with Inox bottom bracket and TA chainrings to replace a shimaNO 105 set that had wobble and flexed really badly when I was out of the saddle. It shifts vastly better. doesn't wobble and doesn't (noticeably) flex. Asthetics are also much improved.
