The Vaude Free Cargo rear pannier will be a faithful companion on your daily bike trips, as well as on your journeys. Featuring waterproof heat-sealed seams, it offers a generous 24 litres of space. Enough to store all your gear for the urban jungle or for your weekend adventures. Its wide opening adjusts smoothly to the load thanks to the roll-top closure. A hanging compartment in the bag provides clear storage for documents, pens, etc. A pack that wouldn't fit in the bag can be hung behind the flexible front flap using 2 compression straps, as can a tent, wet clothes or bulky equipment such as a packcraft or SUP. Particularly tall objects can be secured using an additional strap extension. The flat pocket with waterproof zip on the flap provides quick access to a wallet or smartphone. Plastic components from scrapped vehicles, such as bumpers, have been recycled to create the bag's ultra-robust hard-shell back. The fixing system allows the pannier to be fitted or removed in a single movement, and is adjusted using easy-to-use knobs. The tried-and-tested QMR 2.0 hooks can be locked (e.g. with an Abus 145/10 padlock, not included) and are suitable for round carrier tubes up to 16 mm in diameter, while the Rail Hook secures the pannier at the bottom on rougher terrain. Reflective prints on the front and sides of the bag ensure better visibility in the dark. The maximum load is 12.5 kg.
