The Maxxis Shorty tyre has been designed to offer the best wet traction, exceptional cornering performance and great mud shedding ability. Highly versatile, it is equally at home on wet or dry terrain. The wide, chunky side lugs provide great stability when cornering, even at high speeds. The tread, with its widely-spaced lugs, ensures effective evacuation of stones and mud, while its square shape guarantees hard braking. It is also fitted with the MaxxGrip triple compound tread compound, which provides the optimum combination of rebound and grip for top-level performance. This top-of-the-range version is designed for the most demanding competitors, with a double-ply casing reinforced by a butyl insert guaranteeing the robustness and maximum puncture resistance of a DH tyre, but at a much lower weight. What's more, the structure has been optimised for mounting on a 35mm internal width rim.
