Description
The Giro Aries Spherical road helmet is the lightest, airiest and most compact helmet ever designed with Spherical technology. It features an exclusive Aura II comfort arch, consisting of translucent, impact-resistant twin bridges running throughout the helmet and ensuring structural integrity without adding unnecessary weight.
The helmet features Spherical technology, a Mips-powered, ball-and-socket design that redirects impact forces. It offers more comfort, better airflow and progressive layering (which combines two densities of EPS foam to meet a wide range of impact energy). The results are clear: the Aries Spherical has been rated by the independent authority, Virginia Tech, as the best performing helmet.
Deep internal channels are connected to the helmet's massive front and rear vents. This system allows cool air to flow over the rider's scalp and out the back, taking excess heat with it. The Aries also features the revolutionary DryCore™ sweat management system. A soft silicone bead is hidden in the plush brow pad and redirects sweat from the forehead to the temples, where it evaporates more easily.
The Aries' smaller frontal area allows it to split the air to eliminate more drag. Add to that little details like the AURA II's chamfered edges and meticulously designed internal channels that actually accelerate the air as it leaves the helmet, and Aries stands out as the climbing helmet that doesn't sacrifice speed, reducing aerodynamic drag by 4% compared to Aether Spherical.
