Description

The Shimano Ultegra R8170 hydraulic disc brake will give you precise, powerful, progressive and quiet braking in all conditions. The BR-R8170 caliper offers improved modulation for quieter braking and an easier bleeding process than ever before. The pads have been spaced 10% apart to further reduce braking noise.
And the ST-R8170 Dual Control lever ensures even more precise brake modulation and seamless wireless electronic shifting. These features allow you to focus on the next sprint, the next descent or the next joke from your riding partner. This lever features Shimano's proven Servo Wave technology, which allows the pads to be pulled quickly at the touch of the lever. A lever effect then comes into play to increase the braking force and slow down the hydraulic boost, allowing more precise braking metering over an extended lever travel. The lever also features Reach Adjust technology, which means that the distance between the lever and the handlebar grip can be adjusted to suit the size of the hand, the type of riding and the individual's preferences.
