The Shimano Ultegra FC-R8100 crankset has been specifically designed to give you the best possible performance, both in terms of shifting precision and power transfer. With crank sizes ranging from 160mm to 175mm, they can be used by all types of riders, regardless of their size. As part of the new 2x12 speed range, this crankset benefits from legendary chainrings and the overall efficiency of the Shimano drivetrain.
The Hollowglide structure on the outer chainring reduces weight while maintaining strength for better power transfer and faster, more precise front shifting. The crankset also features Hollowtech technology, hollow, lightweight forged cranks that reduce the weight of the bike and facilitate acceleration by reducing the rotating mass that creates inertia. The FC-R8100 is also equipped with Hollowtech II technology, which offers the best balance between lightness, stiffness, strength and rotational performance. In addition to Hollowtech, Hollowtech II consists of a bottom bracket axle integrated into the right crank, which provides more rigidity and lightness to achieve a high dimensional balance.
