Description
Mavic Cosmic SLR 40 wheels are fast, stiff and light at the same time, thanks to their reworked rim and Road Tubeless technology. These versatile wheels have a 40 mm profiled rim that splits the air with minimal drag. In addition, the new laminate makes each rim 40 grams lighter. As the spokes are anchored without drilling the upper bridge, there is no need to install a rim tape, which results in a weight saving of approximately 30 grams. The new upper deck profile makes it easier to mount and remove the tyre.
The UST Tubeless system eliminates the need for tubes and friction. The larger air volume guarantees a smoother ride. The result: increased speed with significantly reduced rolling resistance.

The patented elliptical spokes save more energy. The new Infinity hub optimises the spoking. The carefully adjusted spoke tension optimises power transfer.
The Instant Drive 360 freewheel body and the QRM Auto preloaded bearing guarantee quick engagement, high rigidity and increased durability.
- Better braking
Laser treatment of the iTgMAX brake band reduces the stopping distance regardless of the weather. The layered design and heat treatment process ensures the strongest and most durable carbon rims for rim brakes.
