Description
The SHIMANO Di2 EW-RS910 2-port connection box is a new part of the road electronic groups, which notably aims to better integrate the connection elements on the cockpit.
Its installation, which can be done at a hanger plug or on the down tube, requires particular attention, since it requires specific compatibility of your hanger - to run the cables - or of your frame, which must provide an opening to accommodate it. In this new configuration, it has two ports and must be connected with the Y-cable EW-JC130.
Although it changes shape and design to better integrate, this connection box remains the central unit of the Di2 electronic system, its brain, which issues gear change commands to the derailleurs. It pairs to the E-Tube Project app on your smartphone, via Bluetooth.
It allows the battery to be powered and its charge level to be known via the two integrated LEDs. Thanks to its button, it is possible to pair the rear derailleur again after activating its protective function in the event of a collision. You can finally change the mode of use with this same button.
