Description
The Shimano Ultegra R8000 SS rear derailleur features Direct Mount attachment, providing a stiffer derailleur / frame assembly for improved gear shifting while minimizing the risk of frame damage in the event of an accident.
The Ultegra R8000 derailleur incorporates Shadow RD technology, which places the derailleur body under the cassette. This is to protect the derailleur in the event of falls or projections, but also to keep it at the same distance from the cassette, regardless of the pinion used.
The short cage version allows the installation of cassettes with teeth from 11-25 to 11-30. The long cage version will allow the mounting of teeth from 11-28 to the new 11-34 for the most difficult passes.
