This was the second bike to have the compact changed out to 46/39/30-28 triple by 28/11 using the compact derailleurs. 33t/35t chainwrap. the chainline on the fp5 pinarello being 46.5mm measured. the sram 28/11 was installed to the c24s without the spacer washer. pushing the centre of the cassette closer to wheel centre.. the Ultegra chain measures the std 5.88mm 10 speed. On the bench the system tuned up ok. the front derailleur needs to be set close to the chainstay and parallel. riding the bike the chain on right max X picked up on the 'ramp up pins' when in the 39t (centre chainwheel).. I ground them off. bent the derailleur top inner push plate 1mm to the chain for a more aggressive angle. alls well without the pins.. previous conversion used pinless 46t stronglight with a 7901 chain... this pinned model has a polished outer surface. looks great.

Poor Stiffness and Shifting

I frequently drop my chain when shifting to this chainwheel OR when standing hard on the pedals while on this chainring. It has very poor stiffness, and I am assuming that just my weight full on the pedal is enough to distort the chainwheel enough so that the chain falls off to the outside. It looks good on my Dura Ace 7900 crank, but it has also caused numerous scratches on the same from flicking the chain.
