The Rider S500 has a sleek, new compact design, optimised for both professional and novice cyclists. Thanks to the ambient light sensor, it can automatically adjust its backlighting according to the lighting conditions around it.

• 24-hour battery life

With a massive 24-hour battery life, the Rider S500 has the power and endurance to take on any challenge. What's more, this meter allows you to continue recording where you left off, even if the power is turned off, and it resumes recording when you turn it back on!

• Voice search

With an internet connection, the Rider S500 avoids the need for virtual keyboards by offering Google Voice Search in over 100 languages, providing a better, faster and more intuitive way to search for addresses or POIs while riding the roads, venturing out on the trails or wherever you are!

• OpenStreetMaps and POI for cycling

OSM (OpenStreetMaps) maps are pre-loaded on the Rider S500. They support an enhanced level 16 zoom with on-screen POIs. On the device map, a large number of POIs, including bike shops and shops, hospitals, water points, toilets, restaurants, etc. are displayed and by hovering the pointer over a POI, a brief description is shown. In addition, the OSM maps included on the Rider S500 have been enhanced to include mountain bike trails and other off-road features.

• Advanced Route Functions

When you follow a route and leave the course, the Rider S500, with the connection to your phone, redirects you back to the course. In addition, you can reverse a route to swap start and end points, as well as retrace a current trip to return you to your starting point along the same route.

• Step-by-step navigation

Whether you're exploring new areas or following a downloaded route, the Rider S500 is the perfect travel companion, offering step-by-step navigation and advanced guidance data, including street names (by connecting to Bryton Active), POIs and peaks (customisable in Bryton Active), distance and directional information, and more on pre-downloaded regional OpenStreetMaps.

• Climb Challenge

As you approach a climb, the Rider S500 switches to the Climb section page, providing an overview of the climb segments of a route. The Climb Challenge screen also features a graphical summary with multiple climbs, brightly coloured climb segments, distance, elevation and grade, and start and finish points, making it easy to access route information at a glance.

• Advanced training features

With a new graphical workout display with zoom support and new advanced features, including real-time intensity adjustment, TrainingPeaks support, a new resilience training mode and workout notes features (for adding notes from the Bryton Active app or TrainingPeaks), training on the Rider S500 just got better! View remaining workout progress, customisable power zones on the target power page and more, all with a vivid graphic display!

• Smart Home Trainer

With powerful new features and a host of integrations, the Rider S500 brings the feel of riding to your indoor smart home trainer! With compatibility with ANT Plus FE-C smart home trainers, the Bryton Rider S500 can communicate with your indoor smart home trainer to control resistance or power (resistance/target power), simulate custom virtual workouts (Smart Workout) or even simulate a route (Virtual Ride).
