Pedal axle – crank arm distance : 53 mm

New 3 bearings axle line :
2 very high quality miniature ball bearings (10 mm internal x 15 mm external ) side by side ensure pedal lightness, and proximity of the axle without comprising bearing reliability. They are located on the interior side of the pedal (close to the crank set) to support axial loads. The cup needle bearing (8 mm internal x 12 mm external), located in the middle of the pedal, supports the weight of the cyclist and pedaling power. Dismantling of the axle line for maintenance purposes, is possible using a standard 18 wrench.

The LOOK axle is only approved after a rotation test of one million cycles at 100 rpm, with a load of 60 kg on the pedal, and off-centered rotation (which creates a shock at each rotation). It, therefore exceeds the international quality standard ISO 4210 (1 million cycles at 100 rpm with 50 kg, centered).
This very high quality enables us to give our axles a lifetime warranty (Subject to correct maintenance and “normal” use of the pedal. The use of high pressure cleaners is not recommended. The axle should be dismantled, cleaned and lubricated at least twice a year: at the start and in the middle of the season)
