The sprockets in first position (11/12/13/14/16T) and the 13T second
position are always in steels with hard chromed treatment.
All the orthers from 14 to 27T, are in Ergal 7075/T6 that means the best
material available in the matket as far as characterics of mechanica
properties, elongation, stress, ultimate strength.
Particular attention must be made with the type of manufacturing since they
are obtained by grinding, the parts with CNC machines in all their parts.
Stariting from a 2mm thiek sheet the central hole shape to obtain a perfect
compatibility with CA or SH is obtained by special micro grinding tools. The
result of perfect fitting but above all, a well-defined surface taht rests
on the hub makes is much stronger than other spockets. It is longer lasting
and with no equalq en the market.
Besides the work already described special sleeves are made in several
points of the sprocket to obtain a better, faster and more precie change in
gears. These grooves help the chain to move faster.
As last job, the grinding of the teeth is made, part is also obtained by CNC
machines. Pieces are then checked in all their aspects, piece by piece,
tolerance, diameter and grade of finishing.
After the above mechanical procedures, the pieces are then micro sanded to
clean them and to make edges more round.
The next treatment is of hard oxidisation. The treatment gives that grey
finish but also makes the piece increase considerably in hradness, quite
similar to stect. These characteristics combined with the above workmanship
and thes of the material makes this products suitable for the most exignece
cyclist and longer lasting product.
As an end touch they are lasered edge with indication of size and giving
them unique look and prestige.
